Elly Michaels is a Denver-based writer, editor, and filmmaker drawn to stories about people on the edge of change. With a background in Radio, Television, and Film from the University of North Texas, she approaches every story with patience, finding the larger picture in the small details.  

Her projects range from brand films and documentaries to live performances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and her editing on a Charlotte’s Web CBD campaign earned a Clio Cannabis Award. She previously served as Director of Post Production at Oswego Studios, where she guided a team of editors and helped shape the company’s creative voice. She’s also been recognized for her directing, including the Best Director award at the 48-Hour Film Project.

In her free time, Elly tends to her garden, cooks, skis, and once hiked 500 miles along the Colorado Trail. No matter the medium, she approaches life and work with curiosity, empathy, and a conviction that sharing stories is essential to human connection.
